06Ferrari Motorcycle with a V4 engine

Never in a million years will Ferrari build a motorcycle — and with Ducatis being so awesome who needs it to? — but it’s fun to reckon about what might roll out of Maranello if it ever chose to give two-wheelers a try.

But what we have here, are concept drawings by Amir Glinik, who started with some Italian V12 pared down to V4 configuration and then slowly built up into the finished design. A lot of thought went into every aspect, including the multifunction hand controls modeled after the F16 throttle quadrant. Those controls, though, would have to be learned much like an F16 pilot learns to use his controls without thinking about it. Pausing to figure out what button or switch does what would be less than ideal.

The futuristic V4 machine is powered by half of a Ferrari engine, taken from one of the company’s V8 supercars. Glinik also armed the bike with height-adjustable suspension via a central hydraulic motor, a tank-mounted touch screen which allows access to the bike’s GPS data and diagnostic system, and hand controls based around an F16 fighter jet.

Incredible and so gorgeous, If only they built these.

Wow! What can I say? This would sell out nearly instantly don’t you reckon? I reckon Ferrari should go ahead with this. Why not? Ferrari’s are supposed to be exotic and nearly unatainable. I could go get a Ducati if I really wanted one, but I don’t reckon I could get this.
I guess we’ll all have to keep on dreamin’!
Give me a break…you’d slide right off of it the first time you went in to a corner. Lame
It looks a bit like some exotic fruit or something. And with that anal probish figure, i doubt you could even accelerate with it properly.
To sum it up: It’s hideous, you can’t ride it and it propably is expensive as hell.
it looks like a freaking ardvark. its cool sure but it should stay as a concept. nobody would ever ride that.

It’s retarded. Why do car manufacturers get the thought than when they design a bike, they have to adopt the philosophy “needs more car”?
EVERYTHING about that thing is the exact opposite of ‘performance’ when it comes to bikes. So much so that it is embarrassing to see the name Ferrari on it; it’s a non sequitur.
What we have here is a Photoshop wizard who’s never even met someone who rides a motorcycle. It’s utterly stupid.
This might be a small too much for the road. Common, how quick can you go.. I mean really…
UGLIEST bike ever! And what’s the deal with the pistol-grip handle bars?!
It’d be pretty much the most uncomfy bike ever if it was made. As said above, looks like the person who made this has never even touched a bike.
The handle bars are the only thing that looks nearly cool. I doubt they would be very effective if you needed to grab the brake quickly though. Everything else about it is hideous. Perhaps if this was a submarine?
